How to Help

We are a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit agency. All cash and in-kind donations are tax deductible. We will provide a receipt for tax purposes for any donation.

Donation of Goods:

You can also help ASAC by donating the following household items that are in good condition:

  • Linens: twin sheets, comforters, blankets, pillows, bath and wash towels
  • Furniture: twin beds, dressers, end tables, sofas, living room chairs, kitchen tables and chairs, lamps
  • Housewares: pots and pans, dishes, plastic glasses, and utensils.

Donation of Time:

There are several ways you can volunteer, either as an individual, or with a group. We match the interests, skills and talents of our volunteers with the needs of the agency and the clients we serve.

  Individuals
Please complete the Volunteer Application Form and either e-mail it to info@asac.us or mail it to the nearest ASAC office.

To serve as a volunteer at ASAC individuals must:
  - Pass a criminal background check
  - Agree to uphold the confidentiality of our clients
  - Commit to an established amount of time or volunteer schedule
  - Possess a genuine interest in helping individuals and families in recovery.

You can volunteer as little or as much as you want. Please click on ASAC Volunteer Opportunities to obtain a listing of our current volunteer needs. In addition, if you have a special hobby or skill you would like to share, please contact us.

  Groups
We have a number of projects that come up throughout the year. These include tree plantings, lawn work, painting projects, and the cleaning of apartments.
