Advanced Emerging Drug Trends Training will be held on February 12, 2016 from 1:30 – 4:45pm in ASAC’s Prevention Building; 3536 18th Ave. SW, in Cedar Rapids. The objectives of the session include learning information about current drug trends, new methods of use, the impact on health care, the community and workplaces, and identifying legal and legislative issues surrounding emerging drugs.
This training has been developed for educators, healthcare providers, social workers, parents, and substance abuse treatment and prevention staff. The Iowa Board of Certification has approved this training for 3 hours of ATOD specific CEUs. Cost is $30 per person; $15 for current ASAC staff and interns.
The facilitators for this training session are Erin Foster, Director of ASAC’s Linn County Prevention Services, and Curt Wheeler, ASAC Prevention Specialist.
