Youth Residential Capital Campaign

ASAC is conducting a $290,000 capital campaign for our youth residential (CD+) treatment program.  The over 120 adolescents we serve each year have behavior problems in addition to their struggles with drug addiction.  The current facility does not provide the needed safeguards to protect these teens from themselves and others.

"An Honest Conversation About Marijuana"

On April 1st, 2014, ASAC welcomed Dr. Kevin Sabet, Director of the Drug Policy Institute at the University of Florida, to share information with our communities regarding “Smart Approaches to Marijuana”. His message will help participants:

• Discover a “Smart Approach to Marijuana” that neither legalizes, nor demonizes, marijuana.

• Have an honest conversation about reducing unintended consequences of current marijuana policies, such as lifelong stigma due to arrest.

• Identify smart policies that decrease marijuana use while promoting research on marijuana in order to obtain FDA-approved, pharmacy-dispensed, cannabis-based medications.

You can watch a recorded version of his seminar on our YouTube channel:
